Annual St. Bartholomew/UNICO Italian Festival – September 4-7, Scotch Plains
Perhaps the best kept secret in NJ is the traditional Annual Labor Day Italian Feast in Scotch Plains, NJ. Hosted by the Scotch Plains-Fanwood Chapter of UNICO, St. Bartholomew’s Church and St. Bartholomew’s Academy, the festival has been an annual tradition honoring San Nicola di Bari, the patron saint of the town of Montazzoli, Italy since 1974.
The feast is truly a great family event and has something for everyone to enjoy. There is nightly live music, rides, games, and great food including favorites like pizza, pasta, zeppoles, clams, mussels, and calzones. In addition, there are nightly 50/50 drawings and a super 50/50 raffle on Monday.
Wildwood Block Party & Music Festival – September 6, Wildwood
Noon to 11 p.m.
End the summer season at Fox Park (Ocean Avenue between Burk & Montgomery Avenues) in Wildwood.
This is a great family festival will include crafts, games, rides, food and continuous FREE live entertainment featuring:
The Jeremiah Hunter Band, Purple Reign, Tonna Sacca & Denise Clemente, Joe Montello, The Comets and Georgie Young.
A special appearance by Chubby Checker is scheduled!

An all-day celebration of Scandinavia at its best – where you’ll discover the customs…the history…the ethnic variety of the six Nordic nations: Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden.

BBQ & Craft Beer Festival – September 5-7, Monmouth Racetrack
