#2.  It’s a ROCKIN’ Cause!

Foodstock will benefit Rahway Food for Friends, a NJ nonprofit corporation which operates solely on a volunteer basis to feed hungry people, including seniors, children, veterans, disabled individuals, and the homeless, via food distributions on a monthly and emergency basis. Rahway Food for Friends also operates a weekly soup kitchen and provide educational information on nutrition and social services.

 

#1.  Those “extra 5 pounds” gets you in!

The goal of Foodstock is to collect 2,500 pounds of non-perishable food items. Additionally, the Rahway Foods for Friends hopes to raise funds to bolster food supplies for the food bank. The price of admission is a donation of a minimum of 5 pounds of non-perishable food or a $15 entrance fee.

And by all means…if you’d like to donate 5 pounds of food items AND pay the entrance fee, even better – the fee will go directly to the Rahway Food for Friends for purchasing food for the food bank!
