Thinking about college?  Thinking about the hundreds of thousands of dollars you’ll spend on your education for the next 4-6 years?

We’re not here to change your mind about college, but we are here to tell you there are many famous entrepreneurs that never went to college and made it to the “big show” (in some cases not finishing high school either!) To them, B.A. stood for “before anything”, meaning before anything else they decided to take control over their business, their destiny, and oh yeah, become practically billionaires.

    #9 Russell Simmons

He is the ultimate hip-hop mogul. According to Jay-Z, “He’s not a businessman. He’s a business, man!” Russel left college to promote local musicians. Talk about a game changer. The history of rap music would have been completely different if it wasn’t for this man’s influence and credit.

    #8 Dave Thomas

Inspired by his daughter, Dave Thomas is the renowned founder of Wendy’s fast food chain. Meat patty lovers and red heads rejoiced as Mr. Thomas made the deadly combination of pig-tails and cheap sandwiches available for the masses. He left high school at age 15 and was a millionaire at the age of 35. Ironically, he partly has drunk college kids to thank for his success. Go figure.

    #3 Kevin Bacon

This rebel wasn’t much different than the “boy from the wrong side of the tracks” he played in Footloose. He dropped out of school when he was only 17. Luck for him, no one can resist a bad boy hiding in a good boys body. Today, in just six degrees, you can associate him to any elite, Hollywood alumni, all the way to your Grandma- basically anyone! It’s a pretty fun game.
