#9. Harvest Brew Fest, September 19th – Cape May
10am-6pm on the grounds of the Physick Estate, 1048 Washington St., Cape May
An all-day festival featuring local musicians and regional brews, plus a farmer’s market, food, crafts and collectibles show, and other family activities.
Can’t think of a better way to spend an early fall day!
#8. Corn Bread Contest, September 20th – Upper Freehold
Historic Walnford , 62 Walnford Road
12:30 pm – 4:00 pm
All ages and experience levels are welcome. Prepare and bring a 9×13(or equivalent) pan of your cornbread along with a typed copy of the recipe to Historic Walnford between 12:30-1:00 PM. The judges rate appearance, texture and flavor, and visitors also sample and vote for their favorites. Ribbons will be awarded at 3 p.m.
AND…Corny Joke Contest takes place fomr 2-3 pm!
Round out the afternoon with a visit to the historic gristmill to see corn ground in to cornmeal; free fun for the whole family!
#7. Puptoberfest, Septmeber 19th – Succasunna
11 am – 5 pm – Rain or Shine!
Live music, costume contest, vendors, food and adoption event!
Fun day for the whole family and dogs are welcome!
Admission – $5/person – $10 per family
#6. Wind and Sea Festival, September 19th – Bayshore Waterfront Park
11 a.m.-5 p.m. Bayshore Waterfront Park, Port Monmouth
This festival celebrates the wonderful bayside shore of Monmouth County. There will be many free activities including: arts/crafts, beachcombing, crabbing, kayaking, fishing, beach volleyball and so much more!

Plus there will be great food, music, and free tours of the historic Seabrook-Wilson house.
Most activities are free but some may have a fee. Admission and parking are free. Parking is available at the Belford Ferry Terminal located at 10 Harbor Way, Belford. A shuttle bus will transport visitors to and from the ferry terminal to Bayshore Waterfront Park.
#5. Capital City Food Truck Battle, Septmeber 20th – RHO Waterfront
From the founder of the Trenton Punk Rock Flea Market…Over 15 award-winning food trucks, serving cuisine from around the globe, will all be in one place! All you need to do is stuff your face with as many different gourmet selections as you can get in your gullet, then vote for your favorite truck. The winner will receive a custom-designed trophy by a local artist and the title of Capital City’s best food truck!
After grabbing your grub, make sure to take in the scenic Delaware River waterfront and some of the area’s best local bands from Rho’s spacious outside deck. Multiple outdoor bars serving the finest beer, wine and cocktails around.
#4. Feast of San Gennaro, September 19th & 20th – Belmar
Main Street between 10th Avenue and 13th Ave. , Belmar
Mass of… San Gennaro: 10 am, Saturday 9/19 St. Rose Church, Belmar
This year’s festival will feature delicious foods, live entertainment, music and dancing in the traditional Feast way. The festivities kick off on Saturday with a Mass celebrated in Italian at St. Rose Church in Belmar, followed by the traditional procession of the Statue of San Gennaro to its place of honor on Main Street. Visitors will can enjoy Italian treats, a Wine & Beer Garden, an eating contest, crafters, kids activities, dancing in the street and more.
#3. Boots @ The Beach, September 18th & 19th, Wildwood
10am to 10 pm – Olde New Jersey Avenue, North Wildwood
Kick up your heels, spend a day by the sea, with great country music, vendors and food.
#2. Apple Fest, September 19th & 20th – Colts Neck
Antique car display (over 40 cars ranging back to the early 1900’s), fun games, local vendors offering delicious product samplings, farm animals, a clown, live music, and of course plenty of apple options including more than a dozen varieties, Delicious Orchards’ famous apple cider, seasonal apple ice cream, apple flavored cotton candy and made on site apple fritters are always a huge hit.
#1. Food Truck & Rock Carnival, September 18th – 20th – Clark
The Food Truck and Rock Carnival is a multi-day, fun for all ages event that takes place Friday, September 18th to September 20th at Oak Ridge Park in Clark.
The free area of the event includes the food trucks, tribute bands, carnival activities, wrestling, and much more! You will need to purchase a ticket, however, to enter the paid music area where the event headliners will be playing.
