Even if you get noticed and your work does get appreciated, there might be something missing. The secret to getting a promotion is acting like you already got it. Show your superior that you can handle the next level by working as if you’re already there. However, this doesn’t mean you should start ordering people around and doing your boss’s work; simply be as confident as you can be. One way to do this is by asking for a bit more demanding projects, and of course, owning them.
You should also maintain a cool attitude – if you show that you can remain cool under stress, you’ll probably get noticed by your boss. Furthermore, you’re supposed to act as a role model to everybody else. This means that you should always meet the deadlines, ask smart questions, help your clients, and learn from your mistakes.
Avoid gossips and politics
