Finding the Best Hangover Cure

When you have a hangover. you probably know that it’s the worst feeling in the world From the nausea to the general muscle aches and pains, hangovers can significantly limit your day. However. what if you could find an effective solution to handle a hangover and get you back to your normal self? There are a few solutions to a hangover that can help to target the root cause. Here are the reasons why you feel badly and how to resolve them fast

    1. Depleted of Electrolytes and Dehydrated

As you probably know alcohol works as a diuretic. When you drink, you’re going to be ridding your body of water and along with the fluid losses: you’ll also be losing essential electrolytes. This is part of the reason why you feel thirsty and have muscle aches and pains the next morning after heavy drinking.

The best way to resolve this problem is to actually make sure that you’re drinking water while you’re actually drinking. The best hangover cure is always preventative but if you don’t remember to stay hydrated the night of the party. start early the next morning with an electrolyte-rich replacement beverage. You can find other options as well but usually. a drink that contains electrolytes and other nutrients like a-vitamins is most effective. Plan ahead if you know that you’re going to be drinking and you’ll be better prepared.

    1. Low Blood Sugar

Although some alcoholic drinks contain carbohydrate* alcohol consumption changes the way that your body metabolizes certain nutrients so your blood glucose will probably be low the next morning. Especially if you’ve been drinking on an empty stomach, you’ll feel weak and have low energy levels.

The best way to handle this problem is to have a hearty breakfast that’s rich in complex carbohydrates and has some protein. This breakfast will help you raise your blood sugar and manage the worst of the symptoms. A good breakfast idea could be hot cereal with eggs on the side. You could also make a protein shake with some fresh fruit to get a dose of antioxidants.

    1. Lack of Sleep

This problem is due to the way that alcohol affects sleeping patterns. When you drink. you probably notice that you feel tired However just because it makes you sleepy. alcohol can change your sleeping patterns and you probably will wake up feeling fatigued. If you can, allow yourself to get a full night’s sleep to handle the worst of the symptoms.

If you can’t sleep in the next morning. try to schedule a short nap or two during the day. Short periods of rest can help you function better. You may notice that you feel clearer the next morning when you’re able to get a full night’s sleep though so try to make sure that you’re sleeping adequately after drinking.

Although it’s not always easy to manage a hangover targeting the cause of your hangover will lead to a speedy recovery. Use these tips to get back to your normal self and you’ll start feeling better faster.
