Emmanuel Almonor Cultivating the Business Leader

If there is one title that one can use to describe Emmanuel Almonor, that word would be a serial entrepreneur. Emmanuel, aka Manny McLaren on Instagram, has a foothold in three distinct industries:

    1. Owner of the music marketing label Omega. Some of the big names that have worked under/with Omega Music Marketing (bookings and concerts) include DeLaHoya, Young Gambino, and Off the Wall producer OT.
    2. Emmanuel owns 9 tax offices in Florida.
    3. A real estate agency that straddles the state of Florida.

    Genesis of a Leader

Every leader must learn to follow; this truism of life is held close to heart by Manny McLaren and has literally applied to his life story. AT&T is the place where Emmanuel’s foray in the corporate world commenced. His first gig was at sales and within 90 days he had been promoted to store manager. This was on account of his stellar performance that placed him among the top 10 leading salespeople in the company.

Two months into his new role, Emmanuel was promoted to head a bigger store and later on became a multi-store leader. His stint at AT&T would end up with him holding the position of District Training/ Manager. The trajectory of growth in his career at sales reflects the key to any success story, consistency is the keyword.

    Gems of Wisdom

Manny McLaren is what you describe as a veteran in the world of business. His initial forays in the world of business have seen him own car washes, call centers, and a lawn care company. This colorful history not only makes him a battle-hardened investor but comes with storied lessons.

In his own words on the journey of entrepreneurship one has to network extensively, learn from one’s mistakes, give 100% of their resources to any venture undertaken, discipline oneself when it comes to saving money, and lastly bid time for opportunities to avail themselves.

All the above lessons when processed overtime dovetail to create a leader of an individual. By default, the person going through this treadmill learns how to set up both short term and long term goals. In the same vein, such a person will have to learn to manage their time wisely to deal with the many demands on their time.

    Getting Traction in Business

Emmanuel argues that one has to leverage social media in the present world to make any traction with potential clients. This is a tool that is greatly underestimated in terms of its capacity to generate interest and give brand visibility. However, keep in mind that a business is not a faceless entity and in your approach to the business ensure that as an individual you are genuine and authentic. That ultimately gets you the credibility that can make or break a business.

    Parting Shot

“Nothing in life is ever easy and you will have your ups and downs…” those are Emmanuel’s parting words. Trust a few individuals, ensure that all ventures are contracted and secured and lastly, perfect every venture you enter before moving onto the next gig. Those are the gems of wisdom from a serial entrepreneur.
