I Love You Even When You’re Sad

She wishes to take his pain away

and let it drift into the darkness

where it must stay and lead him to

the light where it’s a better place

as the days go by she tries so hard

not to cry because she can see the 

pain in his eyes she lies awake 

explaining what she see’s but she’s 

afraid he doesn’t wish to see he 

accepts help but he sees no change

he thinks to himself how can this 

not be enough? sadness fills him up 

but her love will not save him from 

this never ending suffering his 

love for himself is what will save 

him from his own hell…
