For most, the official start of Summer hits after the last BOOM of fireworks on 4th of July weekend. Many trek down to the Jersey Shore for vacation or day trips. In most cases, the weekend craft/street fairs and festivals take a break for the month of July.
But not the County of Union, NJ…They put together some awesome events for the month of July! There’s something for everyone; the kids, parents, theater lovers, music lovers, you name it. So, mark your calendars…because you don’t want to miss out on all of the fabulous FREE entertainment coming your way.
City of Rahway, Movies on the Plaza
Every Thursday night (at dusk) a different movie will be shown outdoors at City Hall Plaza. Most movies are kid-friendly and popcorn will be served!

The Summer Arts Festival kicks off Wednesday July 8 with TUSK (Fleetwood Mac Cover Band) in Oak Ridge Park and every Wednesday until August, where the series picks up at Echo Lake Park. There are also Free Community Yoga Classes at 6:30 before each performance.
On Tuesday, July 14th the Family Fun & Flix Movie Nights Series start with Box Trolls in Warinanco Park. Movies start at dusk and there are UC Get Fit Kids activities at 7:30.
Bring a blanket or chair and enjoy the free events each week.
