    Memorial Day, originally called Decoration Day, is a day of remembrance for those who have sacrificed themselves for our nation.  There are parades, flags and wreath-laying ceremonies throughout the state that pay tribute to those who died serving our country.

    7. Visit Bradley Beach

    Saturday, May 23 –  Monday, May 25, 2015; Rain or shine!

    The Annual Memorial Day Parade, which is the official weekend “kick off”  will start Saturday, May 23th at 10am on Ocean Avenue and Bradley Blvd.   The festival will be held on Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

    Something for everyone; food, craft vendors and activities on the beachfront.

    6. The Blues & Wine Festival

    Saturday, May 23, 2015 – Sunday, May 24, 2015; 12:00-5:00pm

    Schooley’s Mountain County Park
    Long Valley, NJ.

    This annual Memorial Day weekend outdoor event features great food, award-wining wine sampling and classic blues.  It’s set on the grounds of one of the most beautiful parks in the state. Over 20 New Jersey wineries will be sampling more than 200 of their award winning wines. Drink up!

    One Day General Admission Sampling Ticket- $20
    Two Day General Admission Sampling Pass – $40
    *Ticket includes souvenir wine glass and sampling.


    5. Wildwood Crest Summer Kickoff Concert

    Sunday, May 24, 2015, 7:30 – 9:30 pm
    Centennial Park
    Wildwood Crest, NJ

    This annual event to help kick off the new summer season features live entertainment performing dance/pop hits from the 1960’s through today.
    FREE family friendly show.  Bring a blanket or a chair and enjoy the show!


    4. Wildwoods International Kite Festival

    May 22 – 25, 2015

    The largest kite festival in North America.  On the Beach at Rio Grande Ave and inside the Wildwoods Convention Center Wildwood, NJ .  Stunt Kite Championships, exhibits and workshops.  At 9 p.m. there will be an illuminated kite fly on the beach.

    Free to spectators.


    3. 95.5 PLJ Summer Kick-Off at Jenkinsons

    May 22nd at Jenkinson’s Pavilion in Point Pleasant Beach, New Jersey, as Todd & Jayde broadcast live from 6am-10am. Special performances include Lifehouse, Plain White T’s, Life Of Dillon, and Rachel Platten.

    2. May Fair 2015

    Saturday, May 23, 2015: 10 am to 5 pm
    Borough Hall
    Collingswood, NJ

    Five stages of live music including blues, rock, folk and more.   This popular family event expects to draw over 50,000 people and features many activities for children such as pony rides, games and Kid Zone rides.

    Free Admission.


    1. The 2015 Pork Roll Festival

    May 23, 2015; 10:00 AM – 7:00  PM
    Mill Hill Park

    Trenton, NJ

    One of New Jersey’s famous foods, pork roll (aka Taylor Ham) is featured along with other festival food.  There will be music, art, history and a new Pork Roll Queen will be crowned! Long live the Reigning Pork Roll!

    A portion of the festival profits will be donated to Trenton Veteran’s Services and the Trenton Area Soup Kitchen.

    $5.00 Suggested Donation.
