We put the SymGlass to the test from a durability standpoint. We dropped it off various counters, the refrigerator and even the cats had their way with the glasses. The SymGlass remained unscathed. So regardless of what you drink out of it, it’s an extremely durable glass that simply will not break under normal circumstances.
Now the real teat is how wine would taste, especially red wine, in the SymGlass. I found it very wine friendly as it did not have an effect on the taste of the wine (we tested a Cabernet and a Pinot Noir). Both are typically drank in crystal glasses in order to preserve their taste. Surprisingly, SymGlass was perfect for a week day glass of wine with a pizza or pasta. It may not replace your formal wine glasses, but it’s perfect for everyday use.
