Breakfast Drinks for a Healthy Start to Your Day

    Breakfast is one of the most important meals of the day. After sleeping all night, your mind and body need the fuel they get from food to get you through the day. When you think about breakfast, however, it’s not only important that you eat a well-balanced meal, but that you stay hydrated with drinks that get your day started right. Below are some fairly simple breakfast drinks to incorporate into your morning routine. 

    Water with Lemon

    Your body is more than 50 percent water. You need water for proper blood and oxygen flow to vital organs, cleansing toxins from the body, to lubricate muscles and joints, and much more. Your body releases a lot of moisture, especially at night when you tend to sweat and even drool. Help rehydrate your body by starting your day with a tall glass of lemon water. Adding the lemon helps to promote hydration and to speed up the process of flushing toxins from your body. 

    A Glass of Milk

    They say milk does the body good and they’re right. Milk has a lot of essential vitamins and nutrients. There’s calcium which is ideal for healthy bones, protein which helps to boost your energy and build strong muscles, potassium for balanced blood pressure, vitamin d for the maintenance of bones, vitamin B12 for healthy red blood cell development, and vitamin a for an improved immune system (just to name a few). A glass of milk helps you start the day strong. 

    CBD Drinks

    CBD has become an increasingly popular herbal supplement used to improve both physical and mental health. CBD, though still in the early stages of medical research has been said to help relieve pain, reduce inflammation, and ease feelings of anxiety and/or depression. There are several ways that you can consume CBD, but drinking can often make for better absorption. So, consider cbd drinks mixed with caffeine and other vitamins to give you a boost each morning. 

    Cold-Pressed Fruits and Veggies

    Fruits and vegetables are some of the most nutrient-rich foods you can consume on a regular basis. Since most fruit and vegetable juices sold at stores are often processed, packed with sugar, and other unhealthy ingredients, it is best to purchase cold-pressed drinks. There are some brands that can be purchased at your local convenience store. There are also plenty of health drink establishments you can go and get your drinks made fresh. A final option is to invest in your own juicer or compressor to make your own fruit and veggies at home. 

    Herbal Tea

    Instead of getting your morning boost of energy from caffeine and sugar, you can switch things up by drinking herbal tea in the morning. There are several types of herbal teas to choose from to suit your tastes. You can try peppermint, ginger, lemongrass, cinnamon, chai, and so many more. Each leaves you feeling energized with a ton of other health benefits. Be sure not to overdo it with the sugar, instead use all-natural sweeteners like raw honey, agave, or stevia. 

    Smoothies

    Smoothies are a great breakfast drink but can also serve as a healthy meal replacement if you don’t have time for a full breakfast. You can incorporate just about anything into the blender to get it to a liquid form. The trick is to use ingredients that will benefit you throughout the day. Start adding these healthy morning beverages to your day and experience the difference in your mental and physical well-being throughout the day.
