If you think your IG page sucks, it probably does. Here are 3 things you can do to improve your IG page immediately…
YOUR BIO
Your bio (biography) is one of the first sections of your profile that users study before they ponder upon the rest of your page to see what else you’re about. So if that’s the case, you want to make sure that the person who just stumbled on your page can learn as much as possible about you in the little time they’ll be scrolling through your content.
So what can you do to make your bio poppin’ and attractive? Add these 4 major elements and you’ll be on a good start…
- Full Name
- Occupation/Career
- Location (does not have to be your exact address, but at least a general location like a city you’re located in)
- Website (if you have one)
YOUR PROFILE PIC
The profile picture and the bio compliment one another like salt and pepper, and as your potential new follower is just finishing up reading your bio, their next thing they’re going to look at is your profile picture.
Are you sexy? Are you funny? Are you professional? What do you look like?
Depending on what your occupation is, you should want your picture to express exactly that of who it is you are. So if you’re a real estate professional, a clean and quality headshot should do. If you’re a comedian, a shot of you performing on stage works. If you’re a family guy and a father or mother of 2 kids, then having a family picture works too.
These are just a few ideas, but the point is to have a clean and visible picture of you for your viewer to know who’s page they‘re on because after all it’s always nice putting a face to a name.
YOUR CONTENT
Lastly, we get to the topic of content, probably my most favorite aspect of building personal brands through social media.
“Content is KING!”
If you’ve never heard this expression before, you did now and you need to embed it into your head. Creating content is one of the most challenging things that you can do for your business and brand, but only if you make it out to be… (and yes I’m speaking to the perfectionists reading this).
Don’t let perfectionism prevent you from creating or posting content because you think it’s “not good enough”. There’s no reason you should delay sharing your content to the world because of that bullsh*t mindset. Sorry to be so blunt, but it’s true.
The good news I have for you is that your content will develop and improve over time, so you might as well just start posting for now to see what sticks and what doesn’t. Once you see what sticks, jot it down in your notes and make more of that type of content because obviously your audience reacted positively to it.

Ever wanted a PNG of something? Well you can google anything and just include PNG at the end of it and you should get some cool things on there…
And if you’re asking what a PNG is, it means “picture without a background” like a logo…
Enjoy!
