Freshpet Select is a line of freshly prepared meals. Each recipe only includes all natural pet food made from scratch with the freshest ingredients in their kitchen. The meals contain real meat and veggies. I have four beautiful cats that are very picky, so I decided to give the cat food a try. The cat food contains no grains, but it does contain some pea fiber. The recipe for the cat food is much like a meal you would prepare for you and your family. Simple ingredients you are familiar with and can pronounce.
The food is minimally processed which is something great your pets. They gently cook at low temperatures to lock in nutrients naturally. Your pet will get more nutrients from the ingredients they put in. Like amino acids, the basic building blocks that help dogs and cats grow, thrive and get the most out of life.

The texture of the food is like dry kibble, but softer. Freshpet Select looks much healthier, fresh and tastier. Let me tell you 3 out of my 4 cats fell in love with it! And I have very picky cats. I gave Serendipity, Cookito, Zeus, and Sandy each a full bowl of the Tender Chicken & Beef Recipe with Garden Vegetables. Serendipity, Cookito, and Zeus jumped right in and finished their portion without any hesitation. I was shocked because I tried to give them different kinds of kibble before and they just refused to try something new. Sandy in the other hand was not very interested in this new food. So I came up with an idea and mixed her usual dry food with the Freshpet and she loved it! So overall all cats liked the food and seemed to be more energetic and happy. Also now and then I will mix the Turkey and Turkey Liver Recipe Gourmet Pate, and they love that too!

So if you are looking for a much better choice than grain-free canned food, Freshpet is the way to go. It is a better option for rotational feeding, alternating with usual kibble or wet food, and it may be a good solution for picky eaters.
