Expert Shares the Biggest Digital Marketing Trends for 2020

Digital marketing is constantly changing and there are trends that people who are in this field need to follow to stay afloat. Industry experts understand the needs for these dramatic shifts which include social media, search engine optimization, pay per click advertising, content creation, content marketing, and many more that make up the rest of the industry.

To help you familiarize with the newest digital marketing trends for 2020 we’ve sat with Muhammad Aqib, a successful entrepreneur, and owner of Ahead Link Building, Ahead Host and Techno Summit.

    1. SEO More Important Than Ever

Developing new SEO strategies will put you in a good lead to conquer your niche, says Muhammad. But to uncover new strategies, you need to test for keywords and key phrases relevant to your industry. The emphasis has also been placed on creating original content for marketing purposes, so your content creators and SEO experts need to coordinate more than ever, says Mohammad.

    2. Chatbots

AI technologies will be huge in 2020, and Chatbots utilize AI to give customers an instant reply to their questions and queries. Chatbots have been subjected to a lot of research and surveying, says Muhammad. Real data is the best way to test a trend, and the data from various surveying websites show that almost 65% of respondents prefer to communicate with a business through a messaging system instead of live communication. Based on the data, consumer services are already jumping on the Chatbots trends, and industry experts predict that nearly 70% of all consumer services will be Chatbot-powered by the end of 2020. This is a significant jump, and one that completely makes email communication and live communication obsolete, says Muhammad.

    3. Personalization

Personalized marketing has been described as the future of marketing. This type of marketing isn’t new and has been around for quite some time. Personalization means creating personalized content for various mediums such as social media platforms, websites, email, products, more. But the reason boils down to the availability of data. Personal data is very valuable and a website gathers data from every user that visits. But the user needs to be notified that their data is being used, and the way it is being used, says Muhammad.

However, the reason as to why you should start personalizing your content is all down to the following factors:

Surveys and research in the industry say that nearly 60% of all consumers hate generic advertisements.

Nearly 75% of all consumers surveyed said that they are more willing to do business with someone that can personalize their buying experience, opposite to the generic and traditional.

Personalization is something welcomed by consumers as they feel it helps them make a buying choice by offering them something they need, as opposed to something unrelated to their needs.

Based on all of these, we can safely assume that personalization will be a huge trend in 2020. Muhammad says that the usage of private data has been seen as something negative by consumers. While this might have been the case in previous years, it is something that is starting to take shape quite nicely, all the while consumers are calling for it.
