New Theory hosted Anthony Delgado who is opening the first coding school in Puerto Rico. Can This Become The Silicon Valley of the Caribbean?
Anthony Delgado who runs a digital tech firm out of Newark, NJ called Disrupt Technologies decided that he wants to truly make a difference. Rather than contribute $15 and go back to his Butterscotch Latte, he actually went to Puerto Rico to assess what was really going on.
After visiting the island he realized that humanitarian mission simply wasn’t enough. He wants to turn Puerto Rico into a serious player in the tech space. New Theory respects what he is doing so we asked what is the competitive advantage to using Puerto Rico as a Tech hub:
- No passport needed to visit or ask your team to come to the US
- English speaking programmers and support staff
- Tax benefits for both the residents and investors
- A short flight from the eastern seaboard to visit the island on business
In short, it just makes sense for Anthony to create the next crop of programming all stars as he is on a mission to put Puerto Rico on the technology map.
