The number of tools and experts claiming to have magical success formulas for Amazon sellers has exploded in the last few years, but how many of them are really worth considering? This list is presented in no particular order, as some tools work better for different size businesses or just different people with diverse preferences.
Jungle Scout
Jungle Scout offers both free and paid tools, and the free part has made it one of the more popular services to help people sell more products on Amazon. However, the paid apps are where the serious business happens. Jungle Scout plays well with the Amazon FBA (Fulfillment by Amazon) model as well.
If you’re the only person working on your Amazon business, and you have less than 40 different products to sell, then you could get away with using the most basic plan (start up) which is just under $30 per month. This would make it one of the cheaper options. However, the more expensive plans offer access for more users to work on your business, the ability to track more products, and of course other added features.
There is no free trial available with Jungle Scout, but there is a 14 day satisfaction guarantee on the paid plans. There are some free resources you can use, but most of the useful goodies are for paying customers. The web app starts at around $30 per month, with the price going up as more features and product tracking are needed.
Ad Badger
Ad Badger is very focused on automation, so this software is designed to provide efficient Amazon PPC management as one of its main features while also helping you elsewhere. It aims to provide a quick and simple setup process, which will also go through a bunch of early optimizations, while giving you ongoing analysis of your Amazon business with charts and necessary details.
Some of the key features of Ad Badger’s automated services are those that will save you a lot of money if you’ve been doing your PPC manually. These features include negative keyword optimization, which can automatically stop you from bidding on keywords which are not profitable to you, as well as finding out what the right bid is for keywords that are profitable.
There is a free 30 day trial available, and then payment plans starting at around $100 per month for continued service.
Viral Launch
Viral Launch makes bold claims, and has a price tag to match, but it has become very popular in the few short years since it released. There are currently three different tools available – Product Discovery, Market Intelligence, and Keyword Research – all sold separately.
The Product Discovery tool is great for anyone planning on getting in to Amazon FBA (Fulfillment by Amazon) because it will save you a lot of research time. It is not focused on showing you millions of products you could be selling, but it is focused on giving you accurate and usable results.
Market Intelligence will allow you to dive even deeper in to researching new or existing products, make sales estimates based on real-time data and past trends, calculate the price and potential for profit, and basically just understand the market better.
There is a very limited free trial available which basically only allows you to do a few quick keyword searches. The paid products will each cost you at least $200 per month depending on which you choose, and the price can go as high as almost $1,000 per month on some, which makes this one of the more expensive options for Amazon seller tools.
Feedback Genius
Feedback Genius is not at all like the other options above, as its sole focus is to get you more customer reviews on your Amazon sales. In the past, even as recently as two years ago, it was easier to get reviews because you could just give away hundreds or thousands of a cheap product and get reviews from those.
However, the rules at Amazon have become more strict about this kind of thing, so you need other methods at nudging your customers in to leaving a review. That’s what Feedback Genius is here to help with. It works by linking with your Amazon account and giving you access to tools which help you make more effective email campaigns to your subscribers.
There is a free 30 day trial available. Paid plans start at $20 per month for up to 1,000 emails, and then going up to $250 per month for up to 60,000 emails.
As you have seen here, the prices on some of these tools are quite low even for new sellers who could get a lot of benefit out of them. So, don’t be shy about spending a little bit of money on your journey toward making money for yourself.
